Tombstone Tuesday- Marblehead, Massachusetts

These gravestones were photographed at Old Burial Hill in Marblehead, Massachusetts.  This graveyard was established in 1638.


This stone is
erected in memory of
Benjamin Glover, who
died May 1759
aged 19 months

of Benjamin Glover
who died Sep. 10th 1762
aged 6 weeks

And of Jonathan Glover
who died Sept. 20th 1771
Aged 5 months

Sons of Coln. Jonathan
and Abigail Glover

[Jonathan Glover (1731 - 1797) was the brother to
Daniel Glover (1735 - 1790) my 6x Great Grandfather and also
brother to General John Glover (1732 -    1797). 
Jonathan was  married to Abigail Burnham (1726 - 1787) ]




In Memory of
Mrs. TABITHA JILLINGS
the relict of
Mr. JONATHAN GLOVER
from who the present
families of this name
descended.  She died
March  7, 1785 Aged
76 years

[Tabitha Bacon (1712 - 1785) was married to Jonathan Gover (1702 - 1737),
my 7x Great Grandparents, and parents of the brothers described above]

THOMAS HOMAN
who died Jan. 17, 1832 Aet 75

His Wife
TABITHA HOMAN
died Mar. 11, 1837, Aet. 73

Also his Daughters
TABITHA died Aug. 24, 1812, Aet. 24
HANNAH died FEb. 2, 1819, Aet 31

the daughters were the sister of Betsey Jillings Homan (1792 - 1874)
my 4x Great Grandmother]
