My wife descends for Duncan Stewart, who also was a POW from Scotland and banished to Massachusetts in 1652.Gael Ridire/Irish Knighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04547696504562974659noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3533717770805440813.post-56838095603585826022012-07-01T20:02:13.718-07:002012-07-01T20:02:13.718-07:00I enjoyed while reading your great post. S. Munroe. However, there are many uncompleted lines in this book, including mine! Good luck tracing your John Munroe. I'm sure they are from the same clan way back somewhere in Scotland.Heather Wilkinson Rojohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17704949156266722016noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3533717770805440813.post-7477938996336977342012-07-01T11:40:52.717-07:002012-07-01T11:40:52.717-07:00Very interesting, Heather-- I have Munroes in my f...Very interesting, Heather-- I have Munroes in my family, but not sure it's it's from your line: My 5th great-grandfather was John MUNROE (1761-1846), born on Indian Island, ME. He married Hannah CROSS and served in the Revolutionary War-- I seem to recall that he switched sides to fight for the British. He ended up in New Brunswick, Canada, and I'm descended from him through his daughter Anne, who married Richard SIMMONDS. Let me know if this rings any bells...Karen Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02595488513595951006noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3533717770805440813.post-78308701253720891842012-06-30T08:49:22.568-07:002012-06-30T08:49:22.568-07:00A very long-lived ancestor of strong character, He...A very long-lived ancestor of strong character, Heather!
