He was quite active right up to about two months before his death. I remember him coming to stay with us when I was about 10 years old (1955). This...This is the first post I've read so far. This is absolutely fascinating! My mother emigrated from Nova Scotia to Andover in 1923 with her parents and sisters. Three of them are buried there. My mother is still living. And I lived there for eight years in the late '80s and early '90s. Thanks for sharing this most interesting history.
