Weathervane Wednesday ~ Teatime?

I've been collecting photographs of the many, many weather vanes in the Nutfield area (Derry, Londonderry and Windham, New Hampshire).  Some of these are very historic, and others are just whimsical and fun weather vanes, but all are interesting.  Today's weather vane was photographed outside of New Hampshire, in Boston, Massachusetts.  Have you seen this brand new one on top of a newly re-opened museum?

Do you know the location of weather #76?
Scroll down to the bottom to see the answer!

Today's weather vane was photographed on top of the newly renovated Boston Tea Party Museum.  This museum complex has three reproduction ships, and a large facility dedicated to celebrating and discussing the events in Boston Harbor on 16 December 1773.  There are live actors, a multi-media show and the chance to throw some tea into the harbor, as well as the chance to participate in a town hall debate on the issues facing the colonists in 1773.  Which side would you take?

The weather vane is a teapot and four steaming cups of tea on each of the cardinal points.  It was produced by West Coast Weathervanes in Santa Cruz, California.  The new museum is located on the Congress Street Bridge, near the Boston Children's Museum.  The old museum burned down more than a decade ago.   See this link for a story and photograph of the fire: http://www.boston.com/news/globe/city_region/breaking_news/2007/08/boston_tea_part.html

  2. Thanks for the great museum advice too. I'll be coming home to Massachusetts next summer with my kids and need to find some great kid-friendly museums.

    1. Just FYI the Tea Party Ships and Museum is located very near to the Boston Children's Museum, right on the waterfront.
