Weathervane Wednesday ~ Royal Courts of Justice

post another in a series of weather vane photographs every Wednesday.  This started with images of weathervanes from the Londonderry, New Hampshire area, but now I've found interesting weather vanes all across New England and across the globe.  Sometimes my weather vanes are whimsical, or historical, but all are interesting.  Often my readers tip me off to some very unique or unusual weathervanes, too!  If you know a great weather vane near you, let me know if you'd like to have it featured on this blog.

Today's weather vane was photographed in London, England.

Do you know the location of weathervane post #364?  Scroll down to find the answer.

The Royal Courts of Justice is an impressive Gothic style building on the Strand in London, England.  It dates from the 1870s and is known as "The Law Courts".  It is near the Temple Bar and the four Inns of Court.  The Courts are open to the public, except in family court cases such as adoptions, which are closed to the public.  There are tours several times a day, too.

This weathervane has no cardinal points, and it is a fancy, filigree square banner.  There are many other fancy finials and spires atop this building, but only one weathervane.
