John Shackford, son of immigrant William Shackford and Deborah Trickey, was born about 1678 and died 3 October 1738 in Portsmouth.  He married Sarah Hudson around 1699.  They had seven children:  Paul, John, Mary, Deborah, Mary, Sarah and Elizabeth.   John was a block maker and wharf owner in Portsmouth.  He left a will which is discussed in this blog post by Joanne Shackford Parkes:  https://shackfordgenealogy.weebly.com/shackford-blog/category/sarah-hudson
