Today's weather vane was photographed by a reader, and a fellow genealogy blogger, in Massachusetts. Have fun guessing where you may have seen this weather vane.
Do you know the location of weather vane #129? Scroll down to see the answer....
Today's weather vane was photographed by Steven Handler and sent to me by his wife, the genealogy blogger Elizabeth Pyle Handler. It is a private residence on a quiet side street in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts. This weather vane is a very highly detailed three dimensional antique train engine on a cupola above a garage. This home is near the commuter train rail, so their choice of a train is very apropos. In a town full of nautically themed weather vanes, signs and names, its nice to see something different!
