Weathervane Wednesday ~ Near the Train Tracks

Every Wednesday for more than two years I've been posting photographs of weather vanes located in or near the Nutfield area (the former name for the land where Londonderry, Derry and Windham, New Hampshire are now located). Today's weather vane was photographed by Steven Handler and sent to me by his wife, the genealogy blogger Elizabeth Pyle Handler.  It is a private residence on a quiet side street in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts.  This weather vane is a very highly detailed three dimensional antique train engine on a cupola above a garage.  This home is near the commuter train rail, so their choice of a train is very apropos. In a town full of nautically themed weather vanes, signs and names, its nice to see something different!
