Tombstone Tuesday ~ Archibald Gamble, died 1844, Derryfield, New Hampshire, Revolutionary War Patriot

This tombstone was photographed at the Huse Cemetery (Centre Cemetery) in Manchester, New Hampshire


ARCHIBOLD GAMBLE
1762 - 1844


Archibald Gamble, son of William Gamble and Anna, was born 8 June 1762 in Londonderry and died 28 July 1844.  His father was an immigrant from Northern Ireland, born in 1704.  Archibald married Elizabeth, and had two children: Margaret and John.  He was a private in the American Revolution, and is a DAR Patriot #AO43397.  He is buried in the Centre Cemetery (Huse Cemetery) in the Derryfield neighborhood of Manchester, New Hampshire.  His tombstone appears to be broken or missing, but he is still remembered by the local DAR with a flag at his grave site.
