Weathervane Wednesday ~ The Old Man of the Mountains!

Weathervane Wednesday is an on-going series of photographs I post weekly.  I first started by publishing posts about weathervanes from the Nutfield area, but now I've been finding interesting and historical weathervanes from all over New Hampshire and New England.  Sometimes my weathervanes have an interesting history, and sometimes they are just whimsical.  Often, my readers tip me off to some very unique and unusual weathervanes outside of New England.

Today's weathervane is from New Hampshire (obviously).

Today's weather vane was spotted whilst driving through Conway Village, New Hampshire. This little brown church is the Conway Village Congregational Church.  This weathervanes looks just like the "Old Man of the Mountains" natural rock formation that used to exist in Franconia Notch.   You can see the mountains of the White Mountains National Forest behind the church, which stands at 132 Main Street (Route 16) in Conway Village.
