This weathervane was photographed at the Crossroads Community Church on Branch Londonderry Turnpike, Bow, New Hampshire.
In Bow Center is this impressive little church, built in 1833 for about $1,600 by the Bow Calvinistic Baptist Church, which was organized in 1816. The members of this church originally held services at the White Rock Hill Road Meeting House. It is now the Crossroads Community Church and the Joyful Noise Preschool and Learning Center.
This two dimensional banner style weathervane appears to be original to the church. The sunburst and arrow were typical, yet simple weathervanes popular in this time period.
