Tombstone Tuesday, Skagway, Alaska
Seeing this gold rush era cemetery in Alaska inspired me to investigate the family story of an ancestor's participation in a gold rush. See the story of George Emerson's trip to California as a '49er HERE.

Skagway probably recieves more rain than snow, and these are wooden boards, not stones.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a beautiful and peaceful resting place for these souls!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome-looking cemetery! I can't even begin to imagine conducting a burial in such a rugged place! Absolutely gorgeous blog, by the way! I'm so enjoying poking around!
