Tombstone Tuesday ~ An Update on a Tombstone

This tombstone was photographed at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Derry, New Hampshire.  This area was called Londonderry at the time this tombstone was erected.

This blog post has updated genealogy information on the people named on this tombstone, and an attempt to decipher the nearly illegible epitaph at the bottom of the tombstone, obscured by age and lichen moss.  I posted a previous story and photograph of this tombstone at this link:

By their Son, Henry Campbell

Died March 11            died August 8
1759                                1765
In the 51st year            in the 55 year
Of his age                     of her age

“Hark from the tomb is a solemn sound
Reader attend the cry
Ye living come and view the ground
Where you must shortly lie”
Lo, here the mouldering body leave
What ?? bids you ???
"For dust and ashes preach
Man’s infinite concern."

Son of Henry & Martha Campbell of Windham, NH
