John Moor, a Scots Irish immigrant, was born about 1705, and
died 25 September 1779 in Bedford, New Hampshire; he married Margaret Jack in 1732 in Boston,
Massachusetts at the Presbyterian Church.
They lived in Chelsea, Massachusetts where three children were
born. The fourth child was born in Bedford,
New Hampshire. Their farm was on the part
of River Road that became Manchester. They had eight children (one not listed
in the History of Bedford):
