Tombstone Tuesday - Seen at the Haunted Mansion

Just for fun... some silly epitaphs from the Haunted Mansion at Disneyworld in Florida.  A day too late for April Fools!

Here Rests
Wathel R.
Bender
He rode to
glory on
a fender
Peaceful Rest

Here Lies
Good Old
Fred
A great big rock
fell on his head
R.I.P.

Here lies
A man named
Martin
The lights went
out on this old
Spartan

Dear sweet Leota
Beloved by all
In regions beyond now
But having a ball!

At Peaceful
Rest Lies
Brother
Claude
Planted here
beneath this
sod

The pet cemetery had some funny epitaphs,
but the elaborate fencing made it hard to read them.

  1. Like the windows on Main Street, many of the names on the tombstones are tributes to Disney Imagineers who worked on designing and building the parks. If you are interested, you can easily find explanations for them by Googling.
