Do you have an interest in genealogy?  Do you have ancestors in New England?  Would you like to come to a major conference for just a day, or for the whole weekend?  You might be interested in attending the New England Regional Genealogy Conference at the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield, Massachusetts later this month.  www.nergc.org

Wednesday April 26th is a special pre-conference day with several tracks.  There is a “Beginning DNA Day” sponsored by FamilyTreeDNA, “Professional Genealogist Day” sponsored by Excelsior College, “Librarian’s Day” sponsored by ProQuest, and a “Genealogy Society Management Day”.   Wednesday is also “Technology Day” with two tracks for beginners and advanced researchers.   There are also four Wednesday workshops, and no conference registration is required to attend!

The conference runs from Thursday to Saturday, April 27th – 29th.  There are over 90 lectures and presentations, as well as banquets, luncheon speakers, special workshops (with limited registration, sign up soon!),  and special interest groups.  The featured speakers at this conference will be F. Warren Bittner, Kenyatta D. Berry, and Thomas MacEntee.  Attendees will have the chance to hear from professional genealogists, authors, historians and archivists from all over the United States.
