My Mayflower Passenger Ancestors

Happy Thanksgiving!



It seems that folks are taking time to post their Mayflower lines on blogs and Facebook this week as a new meme for the Thanksgiving holiday.  This will be a fun way to compare lineages and find new cousins!

  1. Wow! Just wow! That’s amazing Heather. Talk about deep roots. I’m currently filling out, or trying to, my application to the Society based on my lineage to Edward Doty. I sure hope I have enough proof. I think I do, but you never know. Happy Thanksgiving to you Pilgrim.

  2. Heather, it is exciting to have such deep roots in the history of our country! Recently, my husband was given family tree charts (filled out by his dad) that tied my mother-in-law to John Howland and Elizabeth Tilley. The charts, with no extra paperwork whatsoever! So, now starts the fun part!! LOL

  3. We share five! Tilley, Hurst, Tilley, Howland, and Doty. I am also descended from Stephen Hopkins and Elizabeth Fisher, and Francis Cooke. And although I am not a descendant of his, Mayflower passenger William Bradford married Alice Carpenter, who is one of my 11x ggs, via her first husband, Edward Southworth.

Also, Myles Standish - Alexander Standish & Sarah Alden, Josiah Standish & Sarah Allen. I'm also descended from Richard Warren, William Brewster, William Bradford, and John & Priscilla Alden.
