Weathervane Wednesday ~ A Hummingbird!

Every Wednesday I post photographs of historic or interesting weathervanes seen around Nutfield (the former area now known as Derry, Londonderry and Windham).   Each weathervane has a story, and sometimes (but not always) I can relate the story to you here on this blog.  Today's weathervane was seen in Windham, New Hampshire.

Do you know an unusual, whimisical or historic weathervane in New England?  Please leave me an email at vrojomit@gmail.com and I will try to feature your find here on Weathervane Wednesday.

Do you know the location of weathervane #73?  Scroll down to see the answer...

Today's weathervane was seen in Windham, New Hampshire.  It is a bright, shiny new copper weathervane on top of a shiny, new cupola but it is rather difficult to see from the street.  You have to look carefully to see the hummingbird!

  1. I really like this one. I just worry about some of these being stolen, esp. this one.

  2. A very special one. Somehow I can't imagine how this one works accurately (catching the wind) but I am not a physicist! The cardinal points possibly look like part of an older vane...
