Today's weather vane was found in Massachusetts by a genealogy blogger who contributed a weather vane two weeks ago . Have fun guessing where you may have seen this weather vane.
Do you know the location of weather vane #131? Scroll down to see the answer....
Today's weather vane was photographed by Steven Handler, and sent to me by his wife, the genealogy blogger Elizabeth Pyle Handler. It is another private residence on a side street in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts. The weather vane is a bird with a fish. At first glance it appears to be a seagull, but perhaps it is another type of sea going bird, perhaps it's an osprey? This is beautiful three dimensional sculpture, with a great patina. I'm not surprised that such a pretty weather vane caught their eye!
